Virtual Machine Boot Menu

The Boot Menu is a special menu that allows you to select the boot source for a virtual machine (VM). With it, you can specify from which device, image, or kernel version the system will be started.

To open the Boot Menu for a virtual machine:

  1. Connect to the VM through the HTML console.
    To do this, click the HTML5 button in the information block of the virtual machine.

  2. Once the HTML console is ready for use, an informational window will appear. Click OK.

  3. Switch to the new browser tab with the HTML console:

  4. Restart the virtual machine using one of the following methods:

    • From within the operating system.
    • Through the service interface: in the virtual machine’s side menu, select the Reboot action.

  5. When you return to the HTML console, the Boot Menu will appear. From here, you can select the boot source and perform the required configuration:
